Privacy Policy

StarCastle, LLC ("Starcastle," "we," "us") provides an AI consensus service (the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

1) Our Commitment

Your data belongs to you.

•We do not sell your personal information.
•We do not use your prompts or conversation content to personalize advertising.
•We use your information to provide, maintain, secure, and improve the Service.

2) Information We Collect

We collect the following categories of information:

A. Account information

Email address and name when you sign up.

B. User content

Your prompts, AI responses, and conversation history.

C. Payment information

Payments are processed by our payment provider (e.g., Stripe). We do not store full payment card numbers.

D. Technical and usage information

IP address, device identifiers, browser type, operating system, log data, and timestamps (primarily for security, abuse prevention, and reliability).

E. Cookies and similar technologies

We use cookies/local storage for essential functions (like login/session and security) and, where enabled, for analytics and advertising as described below.

3) How We Use Information

We use information to:

•Provide, operate, and maintain the Service.
•Process subscriptions and billing.
•Communicate with you about your account, support requests, and service updates.
•Ensure security, prevent abuse, detect fraud, and enforce our terms.
•Improve the Service (for example, by analyzing aggregate usage trends and performance).

4) AI Processing and Model Selection

AI processing. To generate responses, we send your prompt and necessary context to AI providers via an AI routing service (OpenRouter) and underlying model providers. Learn more about how our multi-AI consensus system works.

Automated model selection. We may automatically analyze your prompt to select one or more models that are likely to perform best for your request. This may involve sending your prompt (and necessary context) to more than one model to determine the best fit and produce results. We may retain routing metadata (such as selected model, latency, error codes, and cost/performance metrics) to operate, secure, and improve the Service.

No training. Starcastle does not use your prompts or conversation content to train our own models.

5) Advertising (Google AdSense — Non-Personalized)

We display contextual (non-personalized) advertising through Google AdSense.

•AdSense may use cookies or similar technologies and collect device/usage information (such as IP address, device identifiers, approximate location derived from IP, and ad interactions) to deliver and measure ads, limit frequency, and prevent fraud.
•We do not provide your prompts or conversation content to Google for ad personalization, and we do not use conversation content to personalize ads.
•Where required by law (for example, in the EEA/UK/Switzerland), we will request consent before using non-essential cookies or local storage for advertising.

You can control cookies through your browser settings and any controls we provide in the Service.

6) How We Share Information

We share information only as needed to run the Service:

A. Service providers (processors)

We use vendors for hosting, database/storage, authentication, payments, security, analytics, and AI processing. They are permitted to process personal information only to provide services to us. Examples include Stripe for payments, Google for advertising, and OpenRouter for AI routing.

B. Legal and safety

We may disclose information to comply with law, respond to lawful requests, or protect the rights, safety, and security of Starcastle, our users, and the public.

C. Business transfers

If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, bankruptcy, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction.

7) Data Retention

•We retain account information while your account is active.
•We retain conversation history while your account is active unless you delete it.
•You can delete conversations at any time from the History page.
•If you delete your account, we will delete or de-identify your personal information within 60 days, and backups will be removed on a rolling basis within 90 days, unless we must retain certain information for legal, security, fraud-prevention, or dispute-resolution purposes.

8) Support Access

Authorized personnel may access conversation content only as needed to provide support, respond to your requests, investigate abuse or security issues, or comply with legal obligations. Access is restricted.

9) Your Rights and Choices

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to:

•access your personal information,
•correct it,
•delete it,
•export it, and/or
•object to or restrict certain processing.

To make a request, email privacy@starcastle.ai with the subject line "Privacy Request." We may verify your request (for example, by confirming control of your account email) before responding.

10) International Users

We operate from the United States (Los Gatos, California). If you access the Service from outside the U.S., your information may be processed and stored in the U.S. or other locations where our service providers operate.

11) Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect your information. However, no system is 100% secure.

12) Children

The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

13) Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version and change the "Effective date" above.
